Vendor Credentials

Due to the continued sensitivity to security and safety, healthcare facilities are beginning to ask vendors for verification of certain credentials before access into their facility is granted.  Some of these credentials include but are not limited to: HIPAA training, Bloodborne pathogen training, OR protocol training, TB testing, HEP B vaccination, immunization records, vendor background check, specific product or service training, a signed vendor policy and a signed conflict of interest policy.

The number of facilities requiring this type of vendor validation is steadily on the rise as a result of the recommended policies set by such organizations as JCAHO, AORN, ACS, HIPAA, and the CDC. The recommendations were established to promote a more orderly work environment for healthcare facilities and to ensure safety to all healthcare facility patients, employees, staff, and vendors.  Vendor Credentials provide an efficient and convenient solution to the increasing demand of credential verification.

We commit to keeping each vendor's credentials on file in our secure database but still provide easy access to all healthcare facilities. This solution alleviates the need for vendor's to manage and present credentialing documents at each facility.  It also alleviates the burden on facilities to confirm the validity of the required credentials. Other benefits include reminders regarding expiring credentials and messages from healthcare facilities. All each vendor will need will be a valid driver's license.  Our scanner will then use the government issued identification to locate the vendor on our system. This eliminates the need for yet another badge that is proprietary to our system, making the vendor's job easier and more efficient!
